13419288_10209737378930029_7173311315333878934_nDr. Janine Jacques has a diversified professional portfolio which includes one blog “Unleashed & Unbridled“, two books, three nonprofits and many years surviving and thriving in the evolving business world.

Unleashed and Unbridled is a highly trafficked blog that combines humor and compassion in stories about animals.  Janine’s love for donkeys, rescued horses and services animals inspires others to take action to embrace animals as cohabitors of the planet earth.

After years of writing and blogging for pleasure, Janine decided to monetize her efforts and wrote two books.  All the proceeds from book sales went to the Equine Rescue Network and the Service Dog Project.  In 2013, she wrote ‘Dogs, Donkeys and Circus Animals” which recorded over $46,000 in sales and 5-Star Reviews.  Her next book “Lost Horses” was published in 2017 and is on track for more 5-Star reviews.

bookWhile writing her blog and books has kept Janine busy, so has her work as a Philanthropist.  She is the founder of the Equine Rescue Network which is an online community of 226,000+ equine advocates who work collaboratively to save hundred of horses and donkeys per year.  She also the founder of MiniTherapy which allow rescued miniature horses and donkeys to share their love and appreciation with those who are injured, disabled, and or suffer from PTSD.   Finally, Janine is the Chairman of the Board of the Service Dog Project which offers balance-service dogs to those who are mobility impaired.

13380_1607569326154403_1880479070525573582_n While writing and philanthropy are her hobbies, Janine has managed to also build a robust professional career.  She has over 15 years of industry experience and was a senior technical director before she decided to pursue a Ph.D and a career in education.  In education, she was a member of the faculty at the University of New Hampshire and Mount Ida College where she was awarded tenure in 2013.  Her expertise in technology and interest in online pedagogies inspired her to research new areas of education.  In 2014, she resigned from her tenured faculty position in order to pursue opportunities as an Associate Professor and Program Chair for the New England College of Business.

    Hi. I just received a Chihuahua pup from the States. The microchip used on him must be at least 4 times the size I am used to seeing. Is it possible the breeder used a livestock/equine microchip on him? It’s really huge, and quite close to his spine…

    Please get back to me as soon as you can. I find this to be alarming, and I am wondering if I should have it removed! And a normal rice grain sized one used instead.
